The ACT of mindful love:
The foundation of
heartfelt relationships
Queenstown, New Zealand | Oct 21st through Oct 27th | 2010
Workshop 20 hours
PRESENTERS: Dr. James Bramson and Lyn Benson, Psychologist and Family Therapist
“We are all in intense love relationships from birth onward.” (David Richo) To be in a loving, mindful
relationship we need to understand what drives us to be reactive or non-reactive, self-righteous or
compassionate, unaware or aware, critical or loving.
In this highly experiential workshop, we will examine the impact of our projections, fears, thought fusion
and attachments on brain structure and brain chemistry. We will learn to appreciate, have compassion
for and accept ourselves so that we can fully embrace others in a Mindful loving way. Learn how to
“be” in relationship with your partner and important others with the openness, non-judgment, curiosity
and wonderment that non-attachment can bring. This workshop will also provide opportunities for
advanced practice. Return home invigorated and inspired, with a clearer understanding of your own way of
being, and able to offer your clients this new knowledge to facilitate change in all of their relationships.
Oct 21-27 Our workshop will be held at Rydges Hotel in Queenstown beginning October 22nd. Orientation
will take place on October 21st in the Wakatipu Room and the workshop will offi cially begin on the 22nd.
Set on the shores of Lake Wakatipu, our hotel overlooks the lake and the magnifi cent “Remarkables”
Mountain Range. In addition to the workshop, participants will have time to explore the area. Or simply
relax and enjoy the stunning scenery.
Oct 27-30 For those who wish to extend their trip, there will be an optional tour to Christchurch, known as
“The Garden City”. It is home to beautiful gardens and tree lined streets and is also a culturally rich city full
of architectural landmarks, cafes, restaurants, music, art, and much more.
