1. Question: What is the contact information in Queenstown?

Answer: The workshop will be held at Rydges Hotel and the contact information there is www.rydges.com In Christchurch, we will be staying at the Hotel So and the contact there is www.hotelso.co.nz


2. Question: How do I go about booking a room for the workshop?

Answer: Participants should contact the hotels directly for booking. We recommend staying at the Rydges during the workshop both for convenience and also for its beautiful setting. However, participants can book hotels elsewhere and just join us for the workshop.

We have reserved rooms in Christchurch for participants joining us for the tour extension. Please let us know if you want us to put your names down for the extension from 27th – 30th October in Christchurch.


3. Question: When does the workshop officially begin?:

Answer: The workshop will officially begin on the morning of October 22nd. There will be an informal get together of the group on the evening of the 21st that will not be a part of the required hours for PD Points. We will notify all participants of the exact location and time of the workshop.


4. Question: I am a Psychologist from Australia. What PD points am I eligible for?

Answer: You are eligible for 20 Generalist Points. If you are a member of the College of Counselling Psychologists, you are eligible for 20 CCOUN points.


5. Question: What is the precise daily schedule for the workshop?

Answer: The program will be as follows:-

October 22nd workshop (6 hours)

October 23rd workshop (6 hours)

October 24th Free day (optional trip to Milford Sound)

October 25th workshop (6 hours)

October 26th Free day (optional tour am to Shotover River and optional trip evening Gondola Ride, Hakka Cultural Show and Dinner)

October 26th Evening workshop – 2 hours

October 27th – Leave on coach to Christchurch via Mt Cook (optional)


6. Question: What are the excursions that have been planned for the group? What are the costs?

Answer: In Queenstown, we have arranged for several optional tours.

1. October 24th - Milford Sound Day Tour: This will be an unforgettable journey into the heart of Milford Sound on board a glass roof, toilet equipped coach. You will experience the world famous fiord-rich in dense rainforest, glacier carved valleys, and beautiful waterfalls. We will journey across the Southern Alps and travel deep into the Homer Tunnel, a 1.2 km tunnel drilled through solid rock. We will see Eglington Valley, a place of ancient alpine forest and gushing waterfalls, then the stunning Mirror Lakes, and walk across the Chasm. At the deep waters of Milford Sound, we will board the Red Boat Cruise, see the wonders of Mitre Peak, glacier-scarred rock walls that rise 1200 meters vertically from the sea, and waterfalls that tumble through valleys and crash into the sea far below. We return via Sandfly Point, Sutherland Falls, Lake Quill, the Southern Alps, Lake Wakatipu, Cecel Peak, and Walter Peak. Cost of Program: AU $200
2. October 26th - Shotover Jet Ride: A spectacular, adrenalin pumping, boat ride in the world famous Shotover River Canyon. Cost: AU $100
3. October 26th - Skyline Gondola Ride, Kiwi Haka, and Buffet Dinner. From its location 450m above Queenstown, we will take in the stunning views of the towns and the spectacular environs. Then, set in an intimate theatre, surrounded by traditional decorations and mythical carved legends, the Kiwi Haka show is a spiritual journey of Maori culture and customs as told through traditional song and dance. During the show, you will learn the meaning and significance of each song and dance. Cost: AU $95

Following Queenstown, please join us on our extended optional tour to Christchurch where we have arranged the following options

1. October 27th – Full day Coach Trip from Queenstown to Christchurch via Mt. Cook. Cost: AU $150
2. October 29th - Hanmer Springs Full Day Tour (in Christchurch): Fully guided tour including lunch, wine tasting, thermal pools, farm tour and choice of either massage or jetboat ride. Cost: AU $230
