1. Question: What is the contact information for our accommodation in New Zealand?
Answer: The workshop will be held in Queenstown at Rydges Hotel contact www.rydges.com In Christchurch, we will be staying at the Hotel So and the contact there is www.hotelso.co.nz
2. Question: How do I go about booking a room for the workshop?
Answer: Participants should contact the hotels directly for booking. We recommend staying at the Rydges during the workshop both for convenience and also for its beautiful setting. However, participants can book hotels elsewhere and join us for the workshop at Rydges Hotel. Similarly for Christchurch.
3. Question: When does the workshop officially begin:
Answer: The workshop officially begins on the morning of October 22nd. We recommend that participants arrive on 21st October, when we will begin with an orientation. You will be notified prior to the October where to meet for the orientation.
4. Question: What are the excursions that have been planned for the group? What are the costs?
Answer: In Queenstown we have arranged for several options.
a. Milford Sound Day Tour (full day trip): This will be an unforgettable journey into the heart of Milford Sound on board a glass roofed, luxury coach with all facilities. You will experience the world famous Fiord - rich in dense rainforest, glacier carved valleys, and beautiful waterfalls. We will journey across the Southern Alps and travel deep into the Homer Tunnel, a 1.2 km tunnel drilled through solid rock. We will see Eglington Valley, a place of ancient alpine forest and gushing waterfalls, then the stunning Mirror Lakes, and walk across the Chasm. At the deep waters of Milford Sound, we will board the Red Boat Cruise, see the wonders of Mitre Peak, glacier-scarred rock walls that rise 1200 meters vertically from the sea, and waterfalls that tumble through valleys and crash into the sea far below. We return via Sandfly Point, Sutherland Falls, Lake Quill, the Southern Alps, Lake Wakatipu, Cecel Peak, and Walter Peak. Cost of Program: AU $200
b. Skyline Gondola Ride, Kiwi Haka, and Buffet Dinner. From its location 450m above Queenstown, we will tqake in the stunning views of the town and its spectacular environs. This will be both a beautiful scenic ride as well as a spiritual journey into Maori Culture as told through traditional song and dance. During the show you will learn the meaning and significance of each song and dance. Cost: AU $95
c. Shotover Jet Ride: An unforgettable jet boating experience. It's a thrilling ride - skimming past rocky outcrops at close range in your Shotover Jet , as you twist and turn through the narrow canyons at breath taking speeds. Cost: AU $100
d. Scenic Coach Trip (full day) from Queenstown to Christchurch via Mt. Cook. Cost: AU $150
5. In Christchurch: Hanmer Springs Full Day Tour: Fully guided tour including lunch, wine tasting, thermal pools, farm tour and choice of either therapeutic massage or Jetboat ride. Cost AU$230.00
