Workshop 18 hours
Dr. James H. Bramson and Lyn Benson, Psychologist, invite you to join them in beautiful Port Douglas, Australia for
a life and relationship-changing experience. This highly experiential workshop is limited to 20 participants and
applies Buddhist principles, Attachment Theory and Neuroscience to understanding and healing relationships.
Through the use of both didactic and experiential learning, small group practice, demonstrations, group
process and audio visual tools, participants will understand the principles of loving and accepting “what is” in
relationship, communication that blocks compassion, the benefits of acting with awareness and how to create a
wider spectrum of consciousness and relationship empowerment. We will examine both the origins and impact
of our own Attachment styles which can manifest in projections, fears and thought fusion and affect all of our
relationships, including relationships with our clients.
The Great Barrier Reef is the workshops spectacular setting. It is the only place on the planet where two World
Heritage sites meet, the worlds largest coral reef system and the Daintree Forest, the worlds oldest rainforest.

At the completion of this workshop participants will be able to:
• Summarize the basic principles of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and the relevance of ACT to Mindful Love in relationships
• Explore the theory and practice of Mindsight to see ourselves and others more clearly
• Discuss the Neurochemistry of the “changing brain “
• Explore how Attachment Theory and developing secure integration/alignment affects all of our relationships
• Investigate the basis of empathy for self and others
• Practice Mindfulness and meditation practices to develop self and other compassion
• Discuss the relevance of Values and Values Driven Action in healthy relationships
• Understanding the relevance of Values and Values Driven Action in healthy relationships
• Integrate the concept of acceptance of “what is”

PRESENTERS: Dr James Bramson, a licensed Clinical Psychologist and Organizational Consultant has lived, studied, worked,
and facilitated workshops both in the USA and abroad and has over twenty four years of psychotherapy, training,
consulting, and teaching experience. He is committed to helping individuals and organizations optimize mind,
body, and spiritual integration. Dr Bramson is in full time practice in San Francisco, USA and is Co-founder

Lyn Benson is a Registered Psychologist and Family Therapist and has been in full time private practice in Melbourne since 1997. Lyn has extensive experience coordinating seminars and designing and facilitating skills training workshops both for Australian and International workshop participants. Lyn has written and published articles on Buddhist Psychology, Mindfulness, Relationships and Parenting and is committed to working with individuals and families to enrich their lives through the blend of Psychotherapy and holistic practices.
Integral Health and Training Institute meets the qualifications for up to 21 hours of continuing education for
California Marriage Family Therapists (MFT’s) and/or Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW’s) as required
by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences Provider #4692. IHTI is apprwoved by the American Psychological
Association to sponsor education for Psychologists. IHTI maintains responsibility for this program.
